Tycee Belcastro, M.A. LMFT
Hello and Welcome. I am Tycee, a born-and-raised Western Coloradan, with a passion for personal growth, an out-side-the-box thinker and a creative spirit. I am so pleased you found your way here.
When I was a child, my mother gave me a record called Free to Be… You and Me by Marlo Thomas. It was filled with stories, poems, and songs that celebrated individuality, challenged the norms of the time, and encouraged us to embrace both our uniqueness and our shared humanity. I absolutely loved it. That message stuck with me—and today, it’s at the heart of my work. I’m passionate about helping others feel free to be who they truly are in every area of their lives. No matter where you are right now or what challenges you’re facing, life offers endless opportunities for growth, connection, and fulfillment. Whether I’m working with individuals, couples, or groups, my greatest passion is guiding people toward more meaningful lives and more authentic, thriving relationships.

So, a little bit about my background—I earned my master's degree in psychology with a marriage and family therapy specialization from Saybrook University in San Francisco (yep, California dreaming!). I’ve spent the last 20 years working in all sorts of settings—from residential and outpatient care in community mental health to private practice. I even spent 4 years on a mobile crisis response team, which was intense but incredibly rewarding.

I take a humanistic approach to psychology, meaning I see each person as a unique individual with limitless potential for growth. I’m certified in couples and sex therapy (thanks to Dr. Tammy Nelson!) and in equine-assisted psychotherapy, which is as cool as it sounds. I offer services in collaboration with other top notch and super cool professionals to enrich your therapy journey.

What’s most important to me is that therapy is a creative, engaging process. I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods and bring lots of enthusiasm to help you grow and thrive in every way that feels right for you.
On a personal note: I’m honored to be the mom to one amazing adult son who is a nurse at OHSU in Portland, Oregon and a crew of fur babies—(yes, it's a bit of a zoo, and I love it!). I’m completely smitten with both the Colorado mountains and the mossy forests and enchanted trees of the Pacific Northwest. When I’m not working, you’ll find me curled up with a good book, getting crafty with something creative, soaking up nature, or spending quality time with the people (and animals) I love most.
