About Tycee Belcastro, M.A., LMFT, CSTIP
Welcome!
I believe deeply in the original spirit of the word “welcome.” From its Old English roots meaning “a desired guest,” it speaks to the power of being received with genuine gladness and openness.
That’s what I strive to offer in every session and group, a place where you are truly wanted on your journey toward greater honesty, connection, and wisdom.

I’m Tycee.
I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a deep passion for helping people create more honest, connected, and fulfilling lives. With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in relationships, intimacy, sexuality, and personal growth, supporting individuals, couples, partners, and groups through meaningful change.

My Background and Training
I earned my master’s degree in psychology with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from Saybrook University in San Francisco. My clinical experience spans more than 20 years across diverse settings, including residential and outpatient community mental health programs, private practice, and four years serving on a mobile crisis response team. These varied environments have deepened my understanding of how people navigate crisis, transition, and long-term growth.
I am a certified couples and sex therapy informed professional through the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute under the guidance of Dr. Tammy Nelson. I also have certification in equine-assisted psychotherapy, which has strengthened my appreciation for experiential, body-centered, and nature-based approaches to healing.
I maintain an integrative, trauma-informed practice that blends evidence-based methods, emotion-focused work, somatic awareness, skills training, and depth-oriented perspectives. I am committed to ongoing learning and regularly participate in advanced training and consultation to better serve my clients.

My Approach
What matters most to me is that therapy feels creative, engaging and tailored to your unique needs. I bring enthusiasm, hope and care to our collaboration, whether we’re exploring long-standing patterns, rebuilding intimacy and trust, integrating past experiences, or creating a more fulfilling next chapter.
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey that honors and connects you to your inherent wisdom, challenges limitations, and supports you in building the life and relationships you truly want. I am walking my own path of growth, with its joys, setbacks, and lessons, and I bring that lived experience with humility and care.
If you’re ready for warm, honest support and real forward movement, I’d be honored to work with you.
On a Personal Note:
Outside the therapy room, I’m a mother and a person who has walked the same human path many of my clients travel, including the joys and complexities of long-term relationships, parenting through different stages, health challenges, and the courage required to keep growing through life’s transitions. Life is so full of opportunity for growth! These experiences have taught me the real value of honest self-reflection, accountability, and compassionate support. I bring that lived perspective into my work with humility and genuine care.
When I’m not with clients, I cherish time with family and friends, being in nature, and engaging in creative or grounding activities that restore me. I believe strongly in living what I teach and showing up as fully as possible, learning from setbacks, and remaining open to the wisdom that life continues to offer at every stage.
I carry this spirit of curiosity, warmth, and commitment into every therapeutic relationship. If my approach resonates with you, I’d love to connect with you.
